What we collect

Account details (name, email, role, school membership), reading activity (progress, bookmarks, notes, quiz and assignment results), and payment references for purchases and subscriptions. We do not store card numbers; payments are handled by our payment provider.

Children's information

Many of our users are school learners. Learner accounts are created through a school or with guardian involvement. We only use learner information to run the service for them and their school, and we do not sell it or use it for advertising.

How we use it

To provide the library, show reading progress to the learner and their teachers, let school administrators manage their members and subscriptions, process payments, keep the platform secure, and contact you about your account.

Who can see it

School administrators and teachers can see the progress and results of learners in their school. Authors see sales and reading statistics for their own books. We share data with service providers only as needed to run the platform, or where the law requires.

Keeping it safe, and your rights

Passwords are stored hashed. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, and a school can ask us to remove its members' data, by emailing hello@verengaafrica.com. We keep data only as long as the account is active or as needed for legal and accounting purposes.
